I really REALLY need to save an episode of prime time (college related), I forgot but at least its still available online. So I go there right, but I cant save it to me hard drive (which is essential), i try a screen recorder and that just gives me this black square. weird. Now I know I could connect my PC to a vcr and record it that way but there has to be an easier way: I wont be able to do that for possible a week.

If I start playing it, and then unplug myself from the internet the file is still there and can be played. So there must be a tempory file saved somewhere, but where? Ive scowered my computer and found nothing that I think it might be, please help, im desperate

Clip properties says there are no rights restrictions or copyright so if anyone can help me Id appreciate it

a link would be helpful. i assume the clip shows up embedded on the screen. you can go into the source code of the page
(view->source on internet explorer, view->page source on firefox) and find the address of the file and then copy and paste it into the address bar. should give the option to save. if not paste it into a download manager such as getright. if you cant find it in the page's code search in it for the word embed or http:// or .avi or suchlike

If you open the *.smil file in notepad you'll see the Realmedia link.
Eg:

rtsp://streaming2.rte.ie/2005/0224/primetime56.rm

Use something like VLC player or Streambox VCR to save these to your hdd.

Hope this helps.
