I really REALLY need to save an episode of prime time (college related), I forgot but at least its still available online. So I go there right, but I cant save it to me hard drive, i try a screen recorder and that just gives me this black square. weird. Now I know I could connect my PC to a vcr and record it that way but there has to be an easier way: I wont be able to do that for possible a week.

If I start playing it, and then unplug myself from the internet the file is still there and can be played. So there must be a tempory file saved somewhere, but where? Ive scowered my computer and found nothing that I think it might be, please help, im desperate

on www.rte.ie you can watch past programs in real player. links to TV programs are available but you cant actually download the TV program.

For example I want to save the interview here with paisley (amongst other things). Heres the link to watch it: http://www.rte.ie/news/2005/0227/9news/9news56_3a.smil

    rtsp://streaming2.rte.ie/2005/0227/9news56.rm

Is the file but You'll need a program to rip that.
I have used streambox vcr suite to rip audio from rtsp severs not sure how video would do on it but it's worth a shot.
Not sure of the legality of the program so i can't link to it.
