Ah rite, horgan has two weeks to recover anyway so hopefully he should be ok as long as its not broken.
Hopefully we will have D'Arcy back too.

Is anybody else not too happy about this tsunami match next weekend. In my opinion its a uneccessary injury risk for players in a lions year. Would be very pissed off if any irish players got hurt in it

Totally . . and O'Driscoll and O'Connell are both named . . Imagine if either (or god forbid, both) got hurt and had to miss France / Wales !!

do you by any chance have the result of the Gold Cup, is Trabolgan worth a flutter at 100:1?

O'Driscoll is out of the Tsunami match - a slight elbow problem that will not affect the France game. Donncha O'Callaghan plays and Woodward said he's in contention for the Lions trip. Dunno about O'Connell.

Not sure if we'd miss Horgan. I thought he was poor v England. Never seems to know when to release the ball and when to keep possession. I suppose he's still our best option at 14 when all he has to think about is running and tackling.

Horgan seems to make a lot of handling errors, knock on's and the like. Possibly due to running on to the ball at speed but maybe he just hasn't got those "sticky" hands that O'Driscoll has?
Anyone else think that Peter Stringers passing was in another league on Sunday?

Has the ireland coach pulled B.O.D out of the match just to be on the safe side ? :p

Hopefully horgan will be fine for France

Horgan Ruled Out of France Game

Irish centre Shane Horgan has been ruled out of the RBS Six Nations game against France in Lansdowne Road on Saturday, March 12th.

Horgan received a minor fracture to the base of his thumb during the game against England on Sunday and after seeing a specialist yesterday, was ruled out of selection for the France game. Horgan has not been ruled out of the game against Wales on March 19th on medical advice.

Gordon D’Arcy has continued to train with the rest of the squad and continues to make good progress. A decision on whether he will play this weekend will be made later in the week and the Irish management are confident he will available for selection against France.
