    Where would I get data about the number of cars in Ireland and the revenue collected by way of motor taxation?

    Dept. of Environment (as head of all Local Authorities who collect the money). However as the cost is set by the Min. of Finance, the Dept of Finance should also know.

    Anything on statistics is more likely to be the CSO I would say.
