I have €1000 euro give or take to buy a laptop.

I'll be using for photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, video editing etc....basically multimedia type stuff.

I've looked at one or two laptops but stuff like intergrated video and a celeron processor have kind of turned me off them. Should I be expecting things things like that though if I'm only willing to spend €1000?

    Thanks in advance.

dont worry about the integrated video unless your using it for games, for that money i'd recommend an ibook, much better processor than a celeron, tho you'll probably need a ram upgrade.

now even tho i know your budget is €1000 some questions you may want to ask yourself are:

    1) speed vs mobility - if you go for speed you may want a pentium 4 (a desktop replacement type machine) which will eat your battery, a centrino (pentium m) is built for mobility. (i wouldnt wish a celeron on anyone)

    2) amount of ram - 512 is standard but for heavy graphics you may need a gig o' rammage

    3) not so sure about graphics, cant go wrong with a card but with that budget its igp all the way (integrated graphics port as opposed to agp)

you can get a dell inspiron 8600c from €1171
    -wxga+ screen
    -1.6 pentium m
    -512 ram
    -32 meg basic graphics card
    -1 year car warranty
    -40 gig 5400rpm hard drive

also check out the dell inspiron 6000 (or if your feeling suave the new 9300 - all the above a centrino - i assume your looking for mobility)

you should also check out pc world or aldi for bargains - some of the aldi laptops are killer - but u'll have to wait until they appear.
