Crown are pretty cool. I bought a portable Crown TV when I was 12 with my confirmation money. It still works, and I'm 26.

Either way, Dunnes will give you a refund without any questions if you say it broke (and by law, they have to). I had the same issue 2 years ago with those "Clarion" DVD players Dunnes Stores had for €60. I went through 2 dodgy ones before my 3rd one finally worked okay.

Nice one, there's a stand included too for the price. One niggle though, the screen itself is far from being flat.

Anywhere it can be seen online? (checked the DS site, but no sign of it...?)

Only Lidl are doing a 28" (non-widescreen) for €269.99 from next Thursday and I wouldn't mind comparing - gotta get one or the other, 'cos my old one died recently (the telly, not my mother! ;)) and I need a cheap replacement.

I presume it's a 50Hz screen? (if it has a 'belly' on it). Anyone know the model no. or any further specs on it? [Edit: Is it this one or this one? If it's the latter, it's a great price, but if it's the former I reckon I'd go for the Lidl one - 10 bucks less and it comes with a 3-year warranty. But that means queuing up next Thursday morning... :(]
