Recently I built my own machine with a Sony DVD+- RW Dual layer! I put a dvd to play in WMP 9 and it said that it didn't have a decoder! Upgraded to WMP 10(i think 9 is better) and the same thing again!

    Any help would be great

You need either a hardware DVD card (which isn't really necessary these days) or software such as PowerDVD or WinDVD.

WMP doesn't have any MPEG-2 codecs at all so it relies on other software to play DVDs. You can play them in WMP, but it uses third party components in the background.
