Spare 256MB pull from Mac mini...?

I would say so, but (for your own sake!) check it out with http://eshop.macsales.com . Just search for memory parts, as if you are going to buy it, and the information there will confirm if the same memory is used in both systems.

I am going to dump my 256MB Mac Mini ram soon due to an upgrade. Let me know how much you are willing to offer (^_^)

Highly doubt it Mac mini RAM is DDR 333 SDRAM and G5 RAM is DDR 400 SDRAM, even if it does then different RAM speeds will mess it up.
No point wasting a slot with 256 just wait till you can get the 2GB stick then another 2GB stick

(Actually at least some of them ship with DDR3200 - 400MHz - as I can myself confirm.)

If you're still looking for RAM I can help you out. I've got a brand new dual 2GHz G5 here with 5GB of RAM in it - 4x 1GB and 4x256MB. I'd be happy to sell some or all of the 4 x 256MB chips. Make me an offer if you're still interested. I'm away for a week from tomorrow afternoon (wed 22nd) but am about afterwards and am based in Dublin.

ram in the DP G5's have to be installed in pairs, so I would say that it wouldn't be any use.
