You know what, I never got the whole clown thing. I never found them amusing in any way. I didn't find them scary either but they just weren't funny. Having said that, the only thing I remember about the one time I went to the circus as a child was that we came out and someone had slashed one of the tyres on my dads car. And we had to push the car down the road to the nearest garage.

i hear you there man, i used to despise the f'uckers when i was a kid. i didnt realy think they were human, more some kind of evil demonic mutant abomintions. my uncle and aunt took me to the circus once when i was a young kid and had to restrain me from jumping the railings to try kill one of the freaky bastards when he came over to leer at us.

(EDIT:i have now of course grown out of my irrational hatred of clowns, and the violence and loathing they used to inspire in me as a kid seems bizzare now i realise theyre just normal blokes in silly makeup and not a distinct species)

What i dont get is how people find them scary!

There is the element of 'freaky' about them though!....they aint funny but there amusement is aimed at kids and they find them funny, well most of em do anyways!

Ha ha.. I remember when I was in primary school there was a rumour going around that IT was hiding behind the trees in the local park and kidnapping children. Loads of people were afraid to walk through through the park on their own on their way to school. I hadn't seen the film so I didn't know what they were on about.

I blame stephen king... he terrorised my childhood.. the very first horror movie i saw was Salems Lot.... i was shi**ing myself watching that.
