I am hoping to purchase the above box which was used in Limerick for analogue Chorus cable viewing. My question is, will this work with Chorus in Cork? Thanks.

Whoever is selling it to you is selling Chorus property, and its not theirs to own. Chorus and NTL rent out boxes, the household only leases it when they are paying subscription to Chorus

Anyways Chorus can turn on and off the channels as they wish from headquarters. The box has an id number.

No, the boxes are programmed with a 'site code',
where they will only work in a certain cable network.
Hence you cannot interchange boxes between networks,
unless you 'modify' it, which of course is illegal, and nobody
on a reputable site like boards would have anything to do with :rolleyes:
