Wow patch this morning

    Ermm blizzard deployed an emergency patch to address lag issues when a great number of players are in one area at a time

    Can anybody tell me are they having issues seeing the realms after the patch, cause i see nothing, its says the servers are up on the left hand pane, but the search realm box comes up and there isnt anything in it

    servers aren't up yet m8 which is why you see nothing in the realm list :)

    i got up early this morning to play before work and found out off the european homepage that he servers where down for maintenence i was a little disappointed :(

    advance notice is teh way foward

    this patch was applied o US servers on tuesday. It as helped somewhat.

    It was on the wow forums yesterday that a patch update would take place this morning.

    Ah well, better than not being about to play from 2pm to 6pm every Tuesday afternoon. That's primetime for me!

    Also the recent patch is screwing things up stateside.

    Yeah things have got worse for me since the patch. Any place that has high numbers of people now waits a few seconds before letting them appear. That didn't happen before.

    Yeah, I'm getting that too. I think thats their method of controlling lag.
    Its usually not a problem but it is when there is a raid.

    I was in Deadwood yesterday when Stitch took his regular walk into the town to flatten it. About 30 players responded and eventually nailed him but the lag was insane. 4 seconds latency!
    I'd hate to see what a really big raid was like!

    Its horrifically bad. Dont expect to enjoy pvp raiding unless they really streamline some of the code.

    They do they mention on the site that the server goes down for maintenence every week!

    By the look of things when that reaches 100% you still won't get to play. Were supposed to be back up at 10 am. This is bad

    It was on the left of the login screen for several hours. And the servers ALWAYS go down from 7am - 11am Gmt-1, every friday without fail.

    will my version of the cosmo UI that was working before the patch work now if i enable it? and if not does anyone have a link fora version that will work with this patch

    Yes it hsould still work Data, my CTmod still works the best, just make sure you turn off the version checker thing in the addon's menu.

    No, it's broken. Grab the latest file from here. I'm switching to a different mod, but one really nice thing in the latest cosmo is the sky addon which allows you to see your groupmates quests and even what quests you have in common. I'll have to see if I can find that plugin seperately, very handy.
