    Phone 666-9800

Taxi plate number should be on your receipt.

my girlfriend lost her phone in the back of a taxi a few months back. i say 'lost' but she basically dropped it getting out, and saw it as she got out, at the same time the driver noticed it and pulled away quickly before she could open the door again.

it was a mototrola v600 so it's worth quite a bit (€200) and unfortunately although i thought it was, it wasn't insured. i was straight on to O2 and reported it stolen and they barred it (useless anywhere in europe now) and forwarded the details to the police, but nothing ever came of it.

we reported it to the carriage office, but another taxi driver told us we'd have no luck as he'd most likely have sold it straight away anyway if he didn't stop to give it back.

at least i have the satisfaction of knowing that the fecker can't use the phone ever.

u do know that although illegal imei numbers are easily changed? there are numerous dubious characters in dublin that offer this service for 30 euro.

**** thing to do to someone though, u should have reported him if possible, absolute thief.
