sky+ and recording sports

Is there an issue with sports games running overtime and sky plus cutting off the finish? are you better off to record the next programme as well to ensure you get the end of the game? grrr, just starting to use this system but the first basketball game recorded was cut off, very annoying. thks

grrr, just starting to use this system but the first basketball game recorded was cut off, very annoying.
