dvd software

Hi,
I just got a dvd burner with no software, i have nero 5 and the place you select dvd is greyed out, i tried to pick choose recorder but it wont recognise the dvd burner, i think its only installed for cd's??

any help much appreciated

sure it's a dvd burner you have and not a DVD / CD-ReWriter ?

Are you SURE it's a dvd burner and not just a DVD Reader/CD Burner combo?

It may not be supported in Nero 5. Check for updates but you may need Nero 6.

I've had this issue before. I suspect you're trying to use OEM cd burning software with a dvd burner. That about right?

nero 5 does support dvd burning, just not the cd specific software (which has dvd support disabled).

yeah its the NEC dvd burner alright i got it off komplett.

i got an LG cd writer before and got nero 5 with that, about 2 years ago

Download yourself a copy of CD Burner XP Pro. It's free and does the whole lot.
