Don't miss the man behind the Lightning Seeds and such gems as 'The Life of Riley' and 'Lucky You', and the producer of everyone from The Zutons to The Coral at a live Irish date at the Sugar Club.

His debut solo album 'Tales Told' is out now...

'Eloquent, understated and coolly folky'- The Times

Announcing Ian Broudie - better known as the frontman of the British pop group the Lightning Seeds - for a live Dublin date March 10th in The Sugar Club.

Ian Broudie is ranked among the most successful producers of the post-punk era.

He first emerged as a member of Big in Japan, a product of the same scene that gave rise to Echo & the Bunnymen, the Teardrop Expoldes and Icicle Works.

After briefly returning to performing as one half of the duo Care, he later led the Lightning Seeds, essentially a solo project fleshed out by studio musicians; the single 'Pure' from their 1989 debut Cloudcuckooland, was an international hit. In the years to follow Broudie alternated between performing and producing aswell as helming records by acts like the Primitives, Sleeper, and the Frank & Walters.

November 2004 saw the release of 'Tales Told', Ian Broudie's debut solo album.

    - What the critics say:

'These stark, sweet confessionals easily rank among the best of his career' - Mojo

'An album of considerable depth and elegance' - Daily Telegraph

Tickets just 10 euro (including booking fee) are on sale now from Road, Soundcellar, Ticketmaster, and usual outlets nationwide.

Then again if you have a ticket for any of the dates on the Beautiful Souths Irish Tour you'll be seeing him anyway as he is the support, looking forward to it.
