Webmonkey's always a good place to start with these sort of things, they've some good easy-to-follow tutorials.

Anything in particular you are looking to be capable of doing or do you just want a total beginners approach?

Not a total beginners aproach as such, I know PERL and CGI (not extensively, but enough to get by) and have done database sites before using Access and ASP, but some of the tutorials mentioned above have been very useful, thanks.

any specific SQL..? I would like to learn that thing, but don't know where to start.

What s/w do I need to use it? (any open src?)
I want to use it later in some small c# program.

I learned with this one, can't recommend it enough. (very thick book, doesn't dwell on the basics, but has enough to get you comfortable with the syntax)
It makes a good reference even when you're finished reading it.
