ITV Meridian can currently be viewed on an Irish box at

10.758V 22000 5/6

The title is 'ITV5 - Test 1'

It can be added to "Other Channels" and viewed.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if ITV decided to make itself available to viewers in the republic, but the version we got was Meridian South ?????

I'd certainly prefer it to the dreaded UTV.

I'd say they are working during normal office hours on a project and have to show us this channel (ITV1)that we shouldn't really be watching to enable them to do what they have to do!?!?! Then when they finish they just leave on a channel(ITV News)that we get anyway until they come back in the next day to continue. What the ultimate goal is though, we'll have to wait and see. Maybe UTV is finally on its way....

Maybe the soaps and primetime programmes are being left off this test, as they still want to protect these programmes from being FTA? i.e. until the final solution with Sky is applied??

I don't know what time it changed, but it's back to ITV News again. It IS strange how it changes for the soaps and primetime.

Changed just after 12, was watching "This Morning" and suddenly changed over to ITV news.

i stored the itv regions for a friend here in Ireland, and told here to keep a check on them as they may be available soon, she told me today that she watched the bill on anglia last night, I said are you sure it wasnt itv 3, nope she said this was at 8.10 last night

Another probably useless fact... WIlliam Road is Widescreen on ITV 4 Test and it is in 4:3 on the old Big Brother Channel 7521.. Any hidden message here does anyone think?
