iTunes: Poor playback, clicking and flicking noise over music playback

I’m getting really bad playback using my iTunes. Songs start playing normally, but then a clicking and flicking noise intermittently interrupts playback. It used not to happen, but its happening all the time now.

Does anyone have any suggestions what’s causing this?

I’m pretty sure its ‘software’ related, as it stops when you press ‘pause’ and then ‘replay’. It’s confined to iTunes as, windows media player works fine. Its affecting both MP3s I’ve ripped from CDs and songs I’ve bought from iTunes.

I’ve tried reinstalling the latest version of iTunes. But no joy…..

Can anyone help, its driving me mad!!

i hate iTunes.....its nothing but problems.....hardly ever works and is full of bugs....apple should really do something about it.

small things like being able to high-light more than one song, not by doing it one by one or all....but as many as you want.

    Argh....i hate iTunes
