Where to get stuff from customs

    Dunno where to post this
    I bought some dvd's off ebay 2 weeks ago, and they didn't arrive yet, the guy sayed i might need to check with customs. How do i go about doing this?

    Contact the Irish Revenue Commisioners, Irish tax and customs department.
    Lo-call 1890 33 34 25. (assuming you're contacting the Dublin office)

    arent you supposed to get a letter or something, notifying you that there your packages were intercepted by customs and excise ?

    I don't think customs hold anything, unless they suspect it's drugs or something and they want to open it. If it's held for duty, then the courier will normally hold the items untill you pay up. If the DVDs were posted in the EU then there is no customs due and they can't hold them on you. If they're from the US it's a possibility. It could just be that you were conned though and the guy didn't post them at all.

    Check with the post office or courier if you have a tracking number for them first before contacting customs I'd say.

    I would have taught he coned me but i've bought off him before and its a business aswell, so he's pretty trust worthy.
