Just look under the "learn" tab on the left,go to "patterns".

The TKD patterns up to Juche,in pics, diagrams, and movies, with links to the Korean terms for each technique.
One of the best sites I've seen for this! Hope ye like it!

    Amazing stuff.

Thanks a million for the link, much appreciated.

Will have to wait til I get home to download the movies, can't do a damn thing on these college Pc's, without the system crashing. Damn admin in this place!

The pictures etc look great but for some reason I can't play the movies on either MediaPlayer10 or QuickTime

    any suggestions?

Install the codec divX 5.1 like it says at the top of the page? If that doesn't work for you I can send you some other codecs/programs to try.
The movies are .avi format so should work away in Windows Media Player with the DivX Codec installed.

    DivX Codec

Damn, can't do that in college! Need admin priviledges to install DivX because it makes a registry change.
Thanks for the linkage anyway, must watch the Choong-Moo video.

I'd like to collect these on a disc for students so instead of sheets of theory stuff, they could take away a disc and use it as a refresher and to study for gradings at home.
The descriptions in the TKD "Bible" confuse me at times so the movies are great to remember what move comes next in the pattern.
Put a dictionary of the TKD terms on there and the requirements for each grading it'd be a blessing for beginners, and for me to go over a colour belt pattern I've not done in a while!

thanks for the codec advice, all sorted now.

Just downloaded joon-gun, as I have my red-tip grading in a few weeks. Very useful to see it all, although the guys style is a little jerky for my liking, but he is doing everything technically very well.

very useful reminder, must show it to my instructor!!

    rainbow, nice link.

mush, i might need that codec? but will it work on the mac?

dudara, you will never find the tuls performed in exactly the same way as your association do it. unless they have it up on a site like these.

you just have to make to with the movements and look to your instructors for the final performance.

For the disadvantaged who don't have a real computer :)

    DivX for Macs

When we gonna see something like this from the PMA lads Paul ;)

Actually this site is just what I was gonna do ,but better execution. The only thing I'd like to see is another camera angle to catch the moves hidden by the view from straight on.

That is the aim. We will be updating the PTKD site which is just for Matt's Exeter session, to include my school.

    PTKD SITE

Then we will be working on getting the tuls on moive format, and also a series of books and dvd's will be produced to memebers to refer to. All will prob take until next year.

Maybe we could put together a thread with an accumulation of TKD websites with worthwhile info on it about patterns and techniques, and Mods could maybe sticky it!

    Just a thought!

    http://www.natkd.com/tkd_forms.htm

i hav'int look at it properly yet. But the thought of being able to see all these patterens in the korean styles is cool :D

*i just had a look at hwa rang tul. they do some interesting variations in the movements? so i can well say that no one in ireland is doing tuls in this format. but it might be a nice twist to your point of view on the tuls??

    Good site that, pma-ire

I too took a look at the hwa rang tul, and yes you can clearly see different variations to what my instructor has shown us. The kicks are lower (thought they are meant to be head high), and the first move is strange, we were told to slide out on the left foot while executing the left hand pushing bloke.

    Interesting, nonetheless!
    Thanks!
