Beta testers wanted for Staff.ie

    Hello All,

In a few short weeks the website http://www.staff.ie will be launched. This site will be free to both jobseekers and employers.

    Features include -

Ability to apply for jobs when registered/unregistered
    Discussion Forum
Ability to post jobs with basic HTML functionality
Easy to use administrative area for employers
Ability to have the Staff.ie team screen all job applications
    ...and much more.

We need beta testers to both post jobs (as employers), apply for jobs (as jobseekers) and test the Staff.ie administrator area (as a Staff.ie account manager.)

Finally, we are also looking for constructive criticism as to how we can improve the site (although please bear in mind we still need to make some simple layout changes and change some wording...)

Unfortunately, because this site is free we cannot pay beta testers. BUT in the future you would be kept in mind for any paid work which might arise. Also, we would be willing to provide you with a relevant reference for any work you do for us.

If this interests you, please PM me or e-mail info@staff.ie.

    Thank you.

    Umm...

They are looking for constructive criticism/beta testers.

What lies are they telling? What exactly are you trying to say here apart from some unnecessary rant???

It amazes me how some people just cannot act normal on boards.ie.

    OK, I see what you're saying :)

They did say they are launching in a few weeks though... and they are still at the testing stage, which might explain why their details are not registered.

say it nicely or dont say it at all. only i am allowed to be abusive around here.

and give reasons why you think these things. an opinion is useless if it is not backed up.

i have a few things to say....

when browsing by catagory, im interested in knowing where you got your catagory list from?
a couple of things i dont like about it would be:

catagorizing by income (as you do with sales),
crazy\random jobs? call it miscellaneous eh?
chef and kitchen jobs really aleady comes under catering
manager and supervisor jobs should really come under their respective industry catagories.

is the discussion forum going to be an open forum, or will you need to register?
be very aware that this will be open to abuse against any of the companies that advertise here from disgruntled ex employees, which may result in a law suit....
    it will need constant supervision.

dont underestimate the size of your database when things start growing. make sure you have a system in place that will support it.

what do you think is the best feature from the top 4 online recruitment sites that you know?

i could register that trade mark today and make them buy it back off me
for a large profit like what people did with .com addresses

so they are wasting their(i reckon its 1 person) time and effort when it could
all be taken away from them.
(this dosen't refer to business idea/plan just name/copyright)

also ref my original post that DD didn't fully read/understand

businesses alway do a check on companies that they are looking
to doing business with, if somebody was looking at doing business
with your website and saw that you wernt a registered comp. when
you claimed to be(a lie) they would not do business with you.
    and
companies talk to each other, you would be suprise how quickly info
about a company is spread around and this could destroy your business
