How long would you keep an open bottle of wine and how do you store it once opened? red or white!

A few days (3-4 max). Stick the cork back in, keep white in the fridge.

If possible decant leftovers into a smaller bottle to keep air out (like the little screwcap ones you get in pubs).

Yeah, good point that. I generally keep both red and white in the fridge, corked for a max of a couple of days.

my parents have a nifty little device that you use with a rubber cork.
you squeeze in little rubber cork then you use nifty device, which looks like a cork screw without the screw, to suck out all the air in the bottle.

ta daa wine keeps for a couple of days longer than usual. but you still have to put it in the fridge
