    Try the pound shop in Nutgrove (or equivalent), they have two options;
    1. the cheap one (4 devices)
    2. The dear one (8 devices).

I bought the dear one for 3 euro... works a dream.

Dear one for 3 euro? OMG. I paid E17.99 for mine and it only does 4 FFS.
    Where is nutgrove?

I saw them few days ago in Pound City (Moore Street, Off Henry st) and in '2 Euro shop' (across Marks & Spencer back entrance). It costs around 3 Euro and works fine for me.

I got a 12-in-one remote in euro² in the square a while ago for €2, it's not the most erganomic/stylish thing ever, but what do ye expect for €2. It works fine though.

Rathfarnham on the south side of Dublin.

I believe there is a chain of these "pound" or "2 euro" shops.

I got 2 in the Pound shop and they were rubbish!
The best ones I've seen (and bought) were in Aldi or Lidl (can't remember which).
It was an 8 in 1 and cost 6.99.
Brilliant quality and since bought some more for the family.
The only problem is you have to wait until they have them in stock! :(

Yera i might just use that one i paid 20 quid for. I havnt opened it yet so i was planning on taking it back but if ye say the cheap ones are rubbish then maybe i'll be better off with this one. Still 20 quid for a 4 in 1 is crazy money. Got ripped off there. ITs not even a good brand name. Prob no better than then pound shop ones.

Are all these remotes mentioned the ones which work with almost every telly under the sun, and have a list of manufacturers codes to enter?

Any of them a learning remote? I would be interested in getting a remote that I can program with the most frequently used functions from the TV, DVD and Sky Remotes...

The one I got in either Aldi or Lidl is brilliant and for 6.99 Euro about 1/2 or 1/3 the price of ones elsewhere that are not as good.
    It's an 8 in 1.
Does TV, VCR, DVD, SAT, TUNER, CD, and 2 others I can't remember.
Easy to programme but as said before, have to wait for Aldi/Lidl specials until they have them.
Yes they have the codes for most TV's but if it's not there, you can search using the remote for it.

I just got a nine in one off ebay for £4 incl del. I hope its decent

I got mine in the pound shop and it works fine, no problems.

Anyway with the kids I don't expect anything to last more than a year so a 3 euro investment works fine. I have the Aldi one too, looks better, bigger manual and is probably more sturdy. To be honest though there was no major difference.

I picked up one for 2euro too, last one though. The other cheapo shops range from about 3-4 upwards...

If they take aaa bats, best bet is the supervalue where along the quays where virgin megastore use to be (i think), pack of four mitsubishi cheapos for 1.50 or so...

I saw a decent quality remote in one of the pound shops for 5euro which definetely looks better than the one i got, but mine works grand and is for a bandy tv so its style doesn't really matter!

I bought an 8-in on jobby in Lidl a while back for about €8. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the Silvercrest DVD player I bought in Lidl at the same time, but it does do the TV and Video, both Black Diamond, and I'm hoping it'll do the Sky digibox when I get it in.
