    .....Just a Q about it:

Say when ypu go to www.ebay.co.uk and search for an item, the items 'located in the u.k.' come up. I'm listed as an international seller through the .co.uk site, so my items do not come up until 'see all items from international sellers' is clicked.

How do I change my status as not coming up as an international seller, if ya know wat I mean?

I have just put an item up for sale, and when I was setting it up, I put location as Worldwide, United Kingdom.

    Item location: World wide
    United Kingdom

I know it may sound a bit dodgey, but a lot of asian sellers, especially from Hong Kong do this all the time with no problems.

If you have no bids in , I would cancel the auction and start a new one with UK in Item location.

I always go Cork, United Kingdom - otherwise you'll miss the UK based buyers who seem (generally) to be reluctant to go for International Sellers.

I had to change my location to the UK to buy from one guy who had listed it as UK only. I have asked for quotes on many "uk only" items and only had one guy out of about 100 who refused to send to Ireland.

I originally registered as Dundalk Rep of Ireland, but on my first attempt at selling the item only showed up on ebay Ireland (and who the f**k uses that?), so I went back and changed country to UK
    It worked.

I've eMailed ebay.co.uk about the whole UK/Ireland thing as regards sellers who will only ship inside UK; never did get a reply, but my general request was for them to simply include an extra option for UK & Ireland between the UK only, and Europe options. Most sellers don't mind posting to here (once you pay the extra) but may not be arsed about posting to europe...

Happened me a few times but was defeated in the end by PayPal which couldn't be chanegd. I haven't had any issues with people posting to here - some people make up the additional postage cost and its sky high , others are more realistic.

However if you look at the eBay community pages many sellers whinge about people asking them to post to Europe - other posters have responded by saying what was the deal - they had to go to the postoffice anyway. How and ever the posters on the ebay groups are generally whinging nanas...
