Hi guys, thought you might like this, it enables the two-finger scrolling feature that has just come one on new PowerBooks. Apparently it requires a newer type of trackpad, but they've actually been fitting them in iBooks and PowerBooks for some time.

Anyway the following website has the low-down, including a way of checking to see if your trackpad will work with it.

I'm using just the X-Y version myself for vertical and horizontal scrolling, I heard that the circular scrolling feature (like an iPod) kind of confuses things so I avoided it.
It took a bit of getting used to but it works really well- better than any method I've tried before. I used SideTrack briefly but couldnt get used to it.. but this way works great. Actually, if you're a SideTrack user you might have problems, unless he's fixed the issue, I'm not too sure.

    Enjoy
    David

I couldnt live without Sidetrack, it makes life so much easier with the scrollin but also with the hot spots in the corner, id use Sidetrack even if I had one of the new Powerbooks.

Yeah I've heard people say great things about it but I found it hard to get used to myself. Same with Dells I've used that have the scrolling feature on the very right-hand edge of the trackpad- its a bit hit and miss really.

But I must say the two-finger thing is a nice alternative. I think there's some other feature whereby a tap-click with two fingers is a right click but it hasn't been doing much for me...

I have Sidetrack set up to, tap pad=left click, tap button=right click, tap top left on pad=expose(F9), tap bottom left=clear to desktop(F11), tap bottom right=program expose(F10).
You can change which side scrolls and both side scrolls etc, try Sidetrack again seriously once you use it you cant go back.
Honestly ive been using it like that so long im faster on it than a normal mouse, its invaluable to me.
