    Hi all.

Mate of mine signed up to Eircoms Broadband trial and got the netopia wireless router and netopia 3d wireless adapter.

He asked me to set it up for him. Got the modem/router working fine on his WinXP PC. Basically plugged and played.

Then tried to get the adapter going on his wife's PC which is Win98. Didn't work. Checked up the tech specs and it says will only work on Win98SE. So formatted her pc and re-installed Second Edition. Ran the software. It detects the adapter but once it installs it, it deletes the drivers for the CD drive and the graphics card.

I've been on Netopias website and there are "no known issues".

    Anyone any ideas?

I've re-formatted and tried again by plugging in the adapter first and then installing the software. same thing happened.

    am *confused*

    Any help appreciated.

Even with SE it is a nightmare to get working, upgrade again for ease of use, I hate when someone calls in with this problem.

Should it work with Windows 2000 ok?
I don't think the PC could handle XP
