    Hi
Ok is there any way of meeting the singers/bands in Vicar Street after they have performed?

    Thanks

Its really going to depend on who the singer/band is.
From past experiences, the supports acts usually like to mix with the crowd, especially if their promoting a newly released album.
If the act is one of the more well-known world renowned, chances are they arent going to mix, and probably will have little time to meet with fans.
Its always worth while waiting nearby the stage door though after a gig.
I've done this a few times for acts I've really enjoyed. Only works if the act is appreciative of their fans.. they'd take time to say hello, sign stuff and you can get a chance to say thanks for a great performance to them face to face.
Only really happens with true musicans.... dont expect any popstars to do this.
They'll probably be whisked away in some waiting blacked-out car to do some chat show or off to Lillies

    Who had you planned meeting?

by the way, do they search your bag etc going in (i.e. can you bring a camera?) or is it like the olympia where they don't?

As far as I remember they were okay about cameras and I didn't get searched! But they might have changed their policy!
I don't really know about them mingling with the crowd, but sometimes they go to Whelans and you could bump into them! I dunno, thats what I think I remember doing!

I've met a few people just by hanging around in the bar afterwards. You'll see the band bus pulling outside and then the artists usually have to walk through the bar to get out the front to the bus, so you can nab them then.

Well, I personally hadn't planned on meeting anyone. I am going to see Brian McFadden with a friend and she loves him so I thought it would be cool if she could meet him.
Where is the stage door by the way? lol

Theres no direct access from backstage to the stage, so if you go by the right before it ends, you might run into them
