    Hey guys n' gals.

Ive just built and setup my new PC.
Im using a crossover cable to transfer the data across from my old one, everything is working fine. There is one thing i am unsure of though, the Steam platform and all the games i have with it, HL2, Condition Zero ect. Will i uninstall these games from my old computer and just logon with my existing account and reinstall all the games? Im just a bit wary of how im going to do this, will Steam have a problem with this? Any advice would rock,

    Cheers

logout and uninstall steam from the old pc, install steam on the new pc and login with your account and then right click on the games in the "my games" panel and install, there shouldn't be any problem

That will involve downloading gigs of stuff from steam though. A better approach is to use the steam backup facility on the old PC. This will create a program that you can copy over to the new PC with your crossover cable. Run it and it will reinstall steam with all the games and settings you had on the old PC.

(My steam backup is about 4GB - it compresses your steam files, so the backup process might take up to an hour)
