It's been three euro all this year anyway, as far as I know.

Yea. They ran out of Bavaria, so they reduced Fosters to 3. Suits me.

Agreed... damn thing goes up to 11 sometimes and you can't hear yerself think. Alright for a night out but not at noon when you call in for lunch and maybe a sneaky pint...

i love that it goes up to 11! especially when i've picked the songs...cos otherwise people pick terrible songs. sometimes the bar men skip the song if they don't like it though..cheeky.

i just meant it needs to be updated. more student friendly albums please. not just whatever Now! is out at the time.

That'd require actual contact with the bar staff and I don't want to be doin that :(

So you'd rather sit and shout at people and miss out on bits of conversations ... That's barmy.

good use of the word barmy.

music can be good for a bit of atmos though. if only it was good music. for example:

    -love will tear us apart
    -panic
    -london calling

always help set a nice studenty mood.

Was in the bar a few weeks back and all I heard was the Frames and Damien Rice, depressing **** and not the type of music you want in a bar.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 91 ✭✭thefuturehead

    exactly.

there should be a ban on **** being at the jukebox...soon as i see them i gather as much change as possible and play a blitz of frankie goes to hollywood/blondie/kate bush and britney.

    that'll learn em.

I thought the Jukebox in the bar was better than most Jukeboxes I've seen, but I suppose it depends on taste (anything with a rush song on it wins for me). And yeah, it is a bit loud sometimes.

Ah, your never gonna come to an agreement on good music. Tho it would be nice if the music was revised slightly.

I think it'd be better if it stayed open on weekends too. Or like, at least opened on a sunday. When everyone comes back up and such.
