Hitachi DVRX 7000 dvd recorder problem

    Got myself a new DVD recorder but Im having a few problems

    1) Im trying to copy some old VHS tapes (recorded when I lived in Swords) onto DVD unfortunately there is a bit of flickering in the picture (caused by aircraft flying over the cable headend :rolleyes: ) which the recorder is mistaking for macrovision copy protection and promptly stops recording giving a message "You cannot record copy protected content" Is there any way of overcoming this (I asked about one of those "copy enhancer" gizmos in Maplin but according to the guy in the shop theyre not allowed sell them anymore)

    2) When I try and edit recordings in VR mode the cuts dont always appear at the right point but can be up to a couple of minutes out

    3) Recordings on DVD RAM discs or VR mode DVD-RW discs wont play on my computer (despite the fact that my drive supports the RAM data format

    Any ideas ?
