Cable in the bedroom

I've got NTL analogue cable in the sitting room which works fine. I got a tv for the bedroom the other day and plugged it into the cable tv socket there but I can't tune in any channels. Checked behind the socket aswell and it is wired. Doesn't seem to be any signal. How do I get this activated? I'm in a apartment building. Does it cost to get it activated and does it cost extra rental very month?

Where did you get your TV?

    The UK? Argos?

probably not connected to each other. Nothing to do with your TV most likely. If you tell ntl they will connect them and charge you for the privelage of a second connection...or you could find where it si connected and do it yourself
