    I think we will see this alot for the next couple of years as optical storage's potential gets developed.

    I heard about blue laser couple of years ago,.....where is it? Im not even bothered to google for it.

    1Tb is loads, imagine a bad scratch on a full one of those..... :/ But they will milk every penny of the technology by developing 100Gb read only and a 200Gb recordables, still impressive though. When will we see this technology affordable here though is the big question.

    Blue laser will be used in HD-DVD and Blu-ray, these will be out by the end of the year.

    Holographic storage looks like it will be the succesor to these, but it has a long way to go.
