I have recieved an email from gmail saying that I can create my account as long as i follow a link and i did so even though I already had an account cause it was annoying waiting for them to open it up.

But as has been the case in the last week or two with them giving 50 invites it looks like its going to allow people that logged an interest register first and then open up there doors so anyone can have one.

So look out Hotmail and Yahoo HERE COMES GMAIL!!!

yes check the "remember me for 2 weeks" box beside where you type sdkfj@gmail.com.

I think that is what you are talking about.

yeh i know of the remember me box but it won't log in for me if i don't type the @gmail.com part

works for me without @gmail.com just signed out and back in.

It kept switching between both for me for a while...eventually the problem just resolved itself and now I don't have to type in "@gmail.com". Thank goodness.

The domain gmessenger.com appears to have been registered.

That or I'm just an idiot. Both are likely.

i doubt they would register a new domain cause they have gmail.google.com for gmail so i would say a messenger.google.com would do them.

I'd say if they do bring this out they will make sure it is compatible with MSN messenger and yahoo you know allow you if you have contacts on them to be able to use them all at once without you knowing not like trillian a more slip line sort of thing like the way msn allows you to use a gmail or any account to use msn.

I wouldn't mind getting a gmail account if someone can help me out. I've had the same personal email account for about 15 years. This morning I had 514 items of spam(9.46 MB). How much Viagra could one person require?

    Gmail - big deal

    What about www.walla.com - 1GB mail free

what are you saying walla come on look at what each offers.
Walla will give you an email thats it no pop access or anything what a piece of rubbish.
Gmail are the best going by what they offer like a good spam filter pop access 1gb of space, few other things i cant think of.

No, it's true, good deal if you want an online external harddrive.

Hmm... I didn't bother signing up to this cos I have my g-mail account but does that mean we have to re-sign up or something for the service when it comes about?
