I don;t know if this is the right place to post this - so mod please move me if I'm in da wrong place.

A client approached me about trying to find a way to see what has been printed on a PC in their work place.

Any suggestions on what the best thing to do is?
Even if it means installing some spying software!!?!

    Thanks!

You don't mention what OS he's using or what kind of setup is involved so I'm not exactly sure what you're expecting.

Not really a security question - as the answer is OS specific.

If windows have a look in the event viewer,
or look for a tick bok to keep the doc after printing in the printer queue

but TBH it's a bit late at this stage - if they want to keep tabs on stuff then logging should be setup beforehand

some big networked printers keep logs themselves and you can get it to reprint the doc at the printer as long as it's HDD hasn't filled (That's an example of a security issue) - some can report to syslog servers
