What the feck is The Ex Files all about? I know RTE are well used to scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to rubbish TV (Celebrity Farm anyone? Or The Lyrics Board, Telly Bingo, The Cassidy's, The Big Bow Wow) but this has to be the scrapings of the scrapings. What drugs were the people responsible for this pile of steaming manure on when they thought "why not have some plonker who's clearly a chancer of the highest order go out on dates with his exes who broke up with him for entirely valid reasons. Better still, this will entertain people immensely"

I don't understand how Adare Productions can go so wrong with the shows the submit to RTE.

Yet when the produce shows for TG4 they are far better shows.

I only saw the last two mins of thisafter the neurofibromitosis doc on the Beeb ended and I have to say I thought it was hilarious

Scene:
Three girls standing on the castle steps and the bloke has to choose one of them:

Girl 1 ) Very pretty in a cheap kinda of scumbag sorta way
Girl 2 ) Could loose a few pounds
Girl 3 ) Could lose a few chromosomes

Hmm I thought as I made a quick guess that he'd pick Girl1. But then I've always been shallow like that you see. Perhaps what had transpired in the the previous 58mins had convinced our 'playa from the whest' that beauty was only skin deep and that he'd be better searching for deeper qualities?

Hostess : "Which girl do you wanna bring on holidays with you?"

....Like a flash ....

Dude : "Girl 1"

Girl2 [interupts] : "Ya eejit boy, sure I promised I'd go on holiday withya"

Host : "So Girl1 are you gonna take the €3k or go on holiday

Girl1 'Oh .... I'm really sorry but ....[you can almost smell the crocodile tears at this point] ... and I hate to do dis but .... I don't think it'll work out ... I'm gonna have tah take the money like'.

Heard some people (mainly girls) talking about this - they said it was pretty good.

it wasn't bad, I thought the people involved were a bit young though, they were all just 18, one of the he went out with for 18 months, the other were before that. One girl he meet at a wedding when they were both 14, i don't think the relationship went on much more than a few days, hardily what you'd call an ex. maybe futre contestants will have been involved in more "serious" or longer relationships.

still it wasamusing, and because it's on after nine they left in all the swearing, which was cool because they were able to include more candid moments which they wouldn't be able to show earlier

Girl 2 was absolutely wretched tbh - just seeing her in the ads put me off watching the show.
