OK this is the way I see it,,

Human's:Way down the gene pool to be of any interest.

Asgard:Very advanced and still willing to shoot people now and again.

Nox:More advanced and complete wimps who would rather hide than kill someone!

Ancient's:Even more advanced but went that one step to far,got their ass kicked, learned to ascend, now have greater power but deem themselve's too important to use it.

Furling's:A complete mystery. The show's writer's could have a field day with them. I.E. Way more powerful than the Ancient's but just been away for a while, like a rumble now and then, could come back and kick everyone's ass just for the hell of it!

I think that if the writers ever write the Furlings in we'll find out that they're also ascended, and have the matter done away with forever.

You gotta admit that if the Atlantis crew got the chance to contact the furling's for help and the turned out to be a bigger problem than the wraith ever were,it would be good TV.

Even though we all know damn well that the Furlings are good guys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 520 ✭✭✭Xcom2

Why, because they had an alliance with the asgard, nox and ancient's thousand's of year's ago? The torment of Tantalus told us they were a part of everything, but who's to say they were not just let join in because it would be more trouble to leave them out?

Inever looked at it that Xcom2, though I think if they were bad guys and were in any way threatening, they would have had their asses handed to them on plates by the Asgard.

    like the replicators were? :s

i like this theory by the way, of the Furlings being bad guys. but i doubt we will ever see them

Remember a while back when they uncovered the 'disease' in Atlantis? They said that is was extremely advanced but it wasn't created by the Ancients.
    Maybe..

How about that the wraith where a mix between them bug thingy's feeding on humans and furlings? that is why the wratih DNA is two different than humans and not that compatable for feeding...

I don't think it makes sense that the Asgard, the Ancients and the Nox would ally themselves with bad guys.
Why didn't they just imvite the Goa'uld in on the loop?

Maybe it was the only way to keep them in line. And when the furlings left the galaxy the rest disbanded and went thier own ways!

What ever happened to the Tolon's (sorry about the spelling). I thought that they might made an apearance in this season.

Tollan went pretty much bye-bye in S5's "Between Two Fires". They were pretty much butchered...

That's one episode I've never seen and was wondering what happened to the Tollan. Must get some SG1 DVDs into my collection.

I like this train of thought!

There could of been a peace treaty between all the race's.The furling's were so powerful that the combined forces of the Asgard, nox and Ancient's would only have resulted in stalemate, with losses unacceptable to everyone.

They signed a peace treaty which allowed them to advance and also be a part of everything. They decided to move elsewhere and for thousand's of year's were alone. Then along come the ancient's and planted an outpost on their part of the galaxy.

The ancient's long having advanced from normal weapon's thought they were safe, but the Furling's knowing they were the older species knew they could infiltrate the ancient,s .If they could not beat them in a straight fight they would use other means,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Some interesting theories. But in the one episode that we actually learn anything about the Furlings, we find out that they created a Utopian community and sent out emissaries to invite everyone to come live with them like hippies. They don't sound too nefarious to me.

    Are you crazy!!!!????!!!!

    HIPPIES!!!!

Hippies are the worst kind of people.

Thinking more of that episode, they killed each other after tripping out on some dodgy weed that the Goa'uld brought with him. All the signs point to the Furlings actually being Hippies.

Maybe it was a rouse to get people to come and enslave them to fight their battles in a different galaxy.

Plus I think they all died or assented.
