Could be any number of things.
What make is your DVD burner?
Have you tried another disc?
Is your buner '+'R compatable?

have you tried to see if there is an update to your burn software?

try putting the disk in before starting the burn proggie

what options did you select on autorun when a blank disk is inserted?

Does it eject the disc without attempting to burn it... or after attempting to burn? Maybe its just the discs. My plextor drive, for example, prefers certain brands and spits out any brands it doesn't like.

Are you sure your dvd burner takes +R. There are different types of DVD burners. Also what is the film format that is saved on your PC?
