Scrubs last night....

....eh, was it just me or was Network2's Scrubs last night (ep 'My Last Chance') a piece of 100% lame television for the first time ever? I didn't laugh once during the whole showing and found that all the arc's totally sucked (esp the unbelievable Cox/Kelso double-team nonsense on Dr Clock)?

Even the shows patented manipulative coda (which despite being a hardened cynic I usually go with) failed to get to me.

Any opinions on this matter? Has Scrubs finally JTS?

    //

Edit: The ep was actually called 'My Common Enemy'

Scrubs is pants. OK, sometimes it has on-the-ball sarcasm (but I get that at home anyway).

Having said that, I can't really think of anything funny on TV at the mo'...

it was dire last night, but almost every episode was pure gold! I mean Dr. Cox is halarious, as is the Janitor, I always watch it!

on a different subject, Just For Laughs sucked last night too! I mean Ed Byrne was ****E! ok there was one good bit, thats where he was saying about the dentist poking your gums with a scalpal or something and saying they are in terrible shape "well how baout your eyes! *he does the gouging action* your eyes are in terrible shape" but the rest was boIIox!

Ah that episode wasn't all bad, it had it's funny moments, it certainly wasn't terribl.e
Saying that it was lower on the ranking of scrubs episodes, which are usually top quality IMO.
The last episode to air in the US (can't remember name) was kind of poor too, and it comes after 2 of the best in the 4th series too.

It was ok i guess...Scrubs is allowed have a bad epesode...JD pretending to be upset was kinda funny, tommy tiernan was good on just for laughs....ed byrne is a gimp and has some nerve calling himself a comidean...
On a side note, whats the name of the scrubs epesode when in a day dream JD kisses a tranvestite, and a oprah singer pops out and sings: MIIISSSTAAAAAAAAAKE! :D
Never laughed so hard when i saw that, and shot snapple out my nose...really wanna d/l it.

I completely missed all the comedy on the box last night, and was really pi**ed off. But if it was crap then its all good. Although I have to say that scrubs was pure classic the week previous when JD was mourning over the death of his father!

Well, I did watch S1 of Scrubs, but only watch it now and then because I found it to be a bit repetitive. I enjoy watching it, but I can't call myself an avid fan of the show.

Saying that, I've yet to watch a sinlge episode of this series, and I'm pretty sure I probably won't watch any of the future episodes.

Im not a regular viewer, flicking through last night reminded me why, think I caught a few of the first episodes but waned interest after that.

was good to see Tommy Tiernan on just for laughs tho, even if it was only for a few seconds.

This series has been a bit crap.
Btw, I've seen a few episodes on and the next 4 of them are worse.

Oh thank christ - I didn't think anyone around here (well, some of you are a bit zealous about the ol' Scrubs) would admit it - but, thus far (and particularly this week) the whole series has been off par.

Infact, Monday's episode stank. Not a single laugh out of me...for the second week in a row. As already said, it just feels strained - the characters are getting old and (to top off my list of misery) I particularly dislike the character of the brother. All the while, I can't help but feel as though there's a sense of "haven't I seen this done before - but funnier?" with every skit, and with every over-the-top scene think "oh - they're doing this so they can make their crazy 'funny' montage of clips at the end of the episode"... but perhaps that's just me.

Even 'Joey' is doing better in my head tbh.

Last night's episode in The States was apparently excellent though!

It was basically a piss-take of sitcoms and they filmed part of it in front of a live studio audience but the general consensus on the Scrubs Message Board was that it was the best episode in a long long time!

PS - Best episode of Season 4 so far in my opinion.. 'My Butterfly' with Matthew Perry.. but it has been really hit or miss this season.

Hmm, just watched last nights episode from the states and i thought it was the worst episode of scrubs ever (and i thought they couldn't stoop any lower than the Colin Farrel episode)

I thought was actually a great episode... the complete spoof of sitcoms was great! It was a complete piss-take from the moment it became a sitcom and i thought it worked well..

Not an hilarious episode but probably the best in a while!

The worst episode of the season was either the Colin Farrell one or the season opener.

It was a great episode for me because of the sitcom outfit that Elliot was wearing :p
