Ive been pricing One-way tickets to Australia coz i want to go work there on the 12 month visa thingy, but the conditions of the oneway tickets all say maximum stay 1 month!!

Does anyone know is this true that you can only stay one month even if u have a 12 month working visa. What i mean is will they not let me on the plane if they dont think im coming back within a month.?

Does anyone have any experience with this.

    Cheers

I think the Australian Govt would like proof that you ARE going to leave at the end of your 12month visa. One way tickets dont do this. And if you do as most, you wont have a lot of money left in 1 year to buy a return flight.

Just buy the return one now. They can be cheap enough if you are going off season. Plus the return part may come in handy if you need to return urgently for any reason. (Bit of insurance in your pocket so to speak)

Talk to your travel agent or the Australian embassy - best folk to clear it up for you

buy from the travel companies sayit, usit, go4less etc. they deal with these things all the time so i'd check them out and you'll be able to get a flight that will return in a year
