    Hello,
I have a question - how can a substance be both dilute and saturated?
    Thanks.

They're chemical terms to describe how much solute you have in a solution so they don't havethe same relative meaning as in english.

If something is dilute, it means that the solute present in relation to the liquid is small.

When its saturated it means that the maximum amount of solute that will dissolve in the liquid is present.

So for somthing relatively insoluble both can be true and you have a dilute saturated solution.
