    .....the useless twat. You'd swear if he likes money so much he would have brought in some big name players to bring his world audience up.

    This is the masterful man who could have signed Ronaldo for 80,000 a week, done and dusted, but wouldn't break his wage structure.

    For any of you who don't know it - here is that pay structure :

    Ground Staff :|
    Coaches :| |
    Agents :| ||
    Players :| || || |
    Manager :| || || || |
    Martin Edwards:| || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || || |

    And what a great signing Ronaldo would have been, seeing as he missed most of last season and then lasted six minutes on his comeback before being put out for another year. Yeah he really missed out on that one.

    And it's nice to see a Man U supporter berating the man who bought the club in 1980 and basically helped put it where it is today. If he hadn't done the financial side of things properly then Man U would still be where they were in the 70's: nowhere.

    Except in div1 maybe, ahahhahahah smile.gif Ungrateful <unts.

    Hmm if this thread was called "Woo-hoo!!!! A jumbo Jet has crashed on Utds training ground killing all scum players and Sir Alco", then I would be happy smile.gif

    Gandalf.

    Alex Furguson got the club where it is today - not penny pincing Martin Edwards.

    And who knows what would have happened if Ronaldo had moved to United? Maybe he wouldn't have gotten that injury. Maybe he would have been an even better partner for Cole than Yorke. Maybe, just maybe smile.gif

    *sigh* and who hired Ferguson in 1986, and didn't sack him in 1989 when all the fans were screaming for his head after a dismal run of results??

    Martin Edwards.

    Don't get me wrong, I think Edwards is a <unt, but you should put things in perspective before you start celebrating that he's gone. Still, I'm sure the new chairman will really have the fans interests at heart, oh yes.

    As for Ronaldo being a better partner for Yorke, is this the Yorke that cost 12.6 million? Don't sound like penny pinching to me. Or ten million on that baldy fu<kwit Stam. Or the nineteen mil they might have spent on Van Nistelrooy, damn its a shame his knee gave out before that deal was done and dusted smile.gif If he'd given way on his debut then gales of laughter woulda been heard all about the world.

    Except maybe in hotbeds of Man U support, such as Bangkok.

    Cos Newcastle are such a spectacular club smile.gif

    If you compare what United spend to what other top clubs spend it's ridiculous. We're the richest club in the world and Lazio spent what? 140 million over two seasons - just on transfer fees.

    Martin Edwards gave himself a 200,000 a year pay increase then he's whinging about player's wages - they're the ones making the money for the club.

    Santa's message of the day : "What's this now?" biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

    There is talk of selling Nicky Butt. It was rumored he'd go to Spurs in part exchange for Campbell but that's off now.

    Al least Jordi is gone smile.gif Good enough player but rarly showed it.

    The last game he played before that hamstring he was brilliant. He didn't get back to cover the defense as much as he should but he created a goal AND scored one. Ferguson wouldn't have bought him if he wasn't good.

    meow.. you go gurl....!

    um yeah, a million quid for a Barcelona player, he clearly rocked.

    As for Ferguson not buying him if he wasnt good, do the names Mickael Silvestre and (oh god, pardon me while I bust a gut laughing) Massimo Taibi mean anything to you?

    Who was impressed by Stam when he first arrived? We never saw enough of Taibi to rate him but you've got a point about Silvestre frown.gif
