Printer Probs

    I have a Canon S100 printer .
    Its only a basic model but its a great bit of stuff and cheap to run.
    It has developed an error lately.
    I plug it in and it powers on okay but the PC says it is not responding.
    I reinstalled the drivers and the PC detected the printer on the Virtual USB port.
    I then restarted the PC and attempted to print a sheet.
    The PC could not communicate with the printer.
    I took the printer apart to see if any paper was stuck in it but it seems fine.
    The printer is 2.5 years old.
    I have ordered a new printer but I want to get this one working again as I still have alot of ink cartridges .
    Anyone have any ideas ?
