    Anyone know of any good music software for the pc.

    I'm looking for something I can make backing tracks on etc...

    I use quite a few for playing around with. E-jay have quite a good selection of programs for different types of music, an tend to be very user friendly. My current favourite, though, is Magix Music Maker 2005. Not as user friendly as E-jay, but has a much wider variety of features, including making videos for your next chart release. biggrin.gif

    what kind of backing tracks?

    if its just drum track fruityloops is easy enough to use and has loads of drum kits etc.
    reason is excellent but kinda hard to get used to and quiet expensive too.....

    you cant download lots of small music apps from www.hitsquad.com/smm/
