Tesco have just started flights for Clubcard points.
For every 5 clubcard points (worth 5 cents) you can now convert them
into 1 "buy and fly point". You have to pay the taxes which doesn't make the flights as attractive as they first look. The flights to UK are dearer then booking direct but the flights to NY and Boston are very cheap. NY is 150 Euro RETURN excluding taxes. You have to show you have insurance but apart from that they look okay.

I'm sure your mother has used the vouchers they send out to buy her groceries or they will have expired.
Not sure about using some else's card but I think you can buy a flight for somebody all right.

Hmm... Pity you can't just buy them outright! I'd be happier to spend the €150 than spend €15,000 on groceries.
