    Hi

Has anyone seen these printers in stock in any stores around Dublin?

I've looked in the usual places PC World and Peats, and before you ask I know I can buy them off the Internet, but I would like to see one in store before I buy it.

    Thanks

    Snake ;)

Beyond 2000 do Canon stuff, but are predictably very expensive compared to online stores, including amazon.co.uk

I'm looking for the same printer and the places I have been looking are all online. It's twice the price if you buy it in a 'high street' shop

I've seen the iP3000 which is similar looking to the iP5000 but obviously a different spec. It's a snazzy looking little printer. I'd go for it. Get it from JES-computer.de for €169 plus whatever shipping is (between €21 and €41 I think) and it still works out cheaper than buying it in Ireland!!

I got the IP4000 from amazon.co.uk - unbelievable quality (compared to my old Epson Stylus Color 640) and great conservation of ink...

I bought the Ip3000 yesterday for 99 Euro on Pixmania.com
    Heard great things about it.

Yep, id say here would be the best place to buy the Canon PIXMA iP5000 Colour Bubble Jet Printer. Its about €181.

    Hi Folks,

Well I rang Canon yesterday and they tracked some down for me in Harvey Norman in Swords, but when I rang them the price was a joke at 299 euros, when I can get the next model up IP6000 in PC world for 279 Euros!!!
Anyway from reading different digital photography sites I decided to settle for the IP4000 for 179 Euros in PC World today, and I have to say that I am delighted with the Printer, the photos are perfect equal if not better then what you would get out of given them into a photo shop! I have printed on two sizes so far 6x4 and 7x5 using good quality Kodak Ultima Picture paper. It also has the seperate ink cartridge for printing text which is a good idea as it doesn't eat into the photo black ink.
As I said I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be happy with the output of this printer, but have to say that its an excellent choice and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a photo/text printer.

    Cheers

    Snake :)

I bought the ip4000 from dabs.com delivered for 100 sterling. Does it come with ink pre-installed or do I have to get some. Also is there a slot for holding 6 x 4 paper or do you just have to cut the a4 size up after printing?

When you get it you have to fit the print head and the ink tanks but its pretty easy.

Yes there you can fit the 6x4 or 5x7 photo sheets into the printer and then you select the size from the installed driver for the printer.
