Anyone know of anywhere either online or preferably in Dublin which will be selling the World of Warcraft collectors edition?

Not really. Get a ten day trial to give to a friend. The game on DVD instead of god awful CD (well as well as). I game pet for everyone of your characters. Making of DVD. And loads of other stuff. I reckon it is well worth the money. Plus I haven't bought a game since HL2 so I'm definitely due a big spend.

    Hi,

just back from the city. Got my copy from the Game store in Grafton street.
They have plenty left by the way ;-)

The guy told me that the collectors editon is not available in europe (at least in Ireland).

Don know if this is correct but they have only one version with two different covers....

    jow

There is definitely a european collectors edition. Haven't been able to order it online though, but I know it is available in other european countries. It's mentioned on the european wow site even.

14 copies of the collectors edition? Guy here in work got a call from game saying they had his pre-order copy, but not CE. They weren't getting any CE. Can you definitely confirm this? I'll leg it down at lunch time if that is the case.

    Sorry I was not clear.

They have 14 copies of WOW for those that did not pre-order. I do not know if they are Standard or Collectors edition. However I suspect they have no Collectors editions.

They're all standard, & several of those were sold when i got mine this morning. HMV seemed to have a good few copies this morning tho, all standard.

Yeah, was in HMV you can pick it up for 45 quid, less 10% if you've their loyalty card which you can pick up straight away. So 40.50. Good deal I reckon.

39.99 for the Standard Edition in Software City in the Dun Laoghaire shopping centre.

I was mostly just shocked they had it in stock!

The mini-diablos, pandas, and zerglings are cute!

Yesterday in Brill (Undead territory) there was a guy with an army of pandas. He got it from the CE, but wouldn't tell anyone how he ended up with so many of them (16!).

It was so cute! I'll check when I get home whether I took a screenshot or not (I was sure I did..). I want a panda :(

Ah totally forgot, will have to check when I get home. Otherwise I'm just going to have to camp out in Brill for the next week and hope he comes back :)

Its on Eglinton Street in the centre of the city, next to the post office. Head down town from Eyre Square and you'll see a big red shop on the corner, at the top of the pedestrian street, named Moons. Veer right there and go straight on. Game is on the left side of that street, next to said post office. :D

What do you get different in the ce compared to the norm? Just packaging like hl2 gold or content?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,304 ✭✭✭✭koneko

A free ingame pet (zergling, panda or mini diablo iirc), strategy guide, book, maps. Hard to say as I've never actually seen one (damn you Ireland).

Who needs an ingame pet I have my Mechanical Squirrel !! who chases me around trees all day long, Ill admit he isn't that good at fetching things but then I get to pick them up !! its great fun really, the times weve had...

You have to watch out though they tell you do very bad things...
