There was an article in the media and marketing section of Thursday's Irish Times saying that Viacom was going to add Paramount ,from May , to the channels it has opt out Irish advertising on.

Towards the end of the article it mentioned however that Paramount had come to an agreement with NTL and Chorus that it would be carried on their analogue platforms in addition to their digital platforms and that there would be a significant marketing investment for Paramount's launch

Yes, it looks as if TMF is going from ntl analogue.....

    From Medialive:
Paramount Comedy Channel - Irish Opt-Out

Paramount Comedy Channel will launch an Irish advertising opt-out service on May 9th 2005.

It will be available on all three platforms although with NTL and Chorus analogue, this will be from 1900 - 0600 only, on the same channel number as Nickelodeon.

Programming will include Cheers, Seinfeld, Sex in the City etc.

Nielsen data will be available from the launch date.

Well Viacom certainly didn't leave TMF hanging around on NTL for long rolleyes.gif
Obviously they're out to make money with the opt-out advertising. Its a pity they don't launch TMF as its own 24 hour standalone channel, or just replace that bloody MTV with it. tongue.gif

Let's face it, replacing MTV with anything would be a massive improvement.
