Not the 18th but I'm going to the one on the 17th. Can't wait. Where are they playing in Galway?

They're playing the Warrick, tickets from Redlight, Mulligan Records and the Roisin Dubh. Article here.

Went to the gig in the Village in Dublin. I enjoyed it, but there was a large number of ássholes present in the crowd, and the sound was the worst i've ever heard at any gig (and i've been to some dodgy gigs). A wall of white noise for the most part. Dick Valentine is a funny guy though.

I was at the gig in the Village too. I remember the security guy being a a§§hole, but I don't remember much else, unfortunately :(
The sound was really bad at the last E6 gig I was at as well, in Spirit before Christmas. You could hardly hear Dick. The guitars where up too high and drowning him out.
But I would still go see them again and again. In fact we had intended to get the train to Galway the next day to see them in the Warrick but for numerous reasons - mainly laziness - this cunning plan never came to fruition. Which is a shame because apparently Fruition is a nice place. I've seen the brochures but I've never been.

I was very disappointed with the sound at the Village gig. I found it very muddy and bass heavy, especially the first 3 or 4 songs. The band were good but the sound really detracted from the gig. I don't remember it being that bad at other concerts I've been to there.

The highlight for me was seeing some lad crowd surfing and being carried all the way to the back of the crowd and then dropped on the ground - then he got back up and carried forward again. It was very funny to watch.
