hi everbody, has any one been to the canaries during march? i'm thinking of going first week of march but am unsure if the weather would be nice enough then. Also which island would be best for a decent bit of sun or are they all the same more or less at that time of year?
    any info greatly appreciated.......

Dunno about the weather, but don't go to Fortaventura. This is one of the Canaries, but a less well known island than, say, Lanzarote. It is duller than dull. Drive around the whole place in a day. Nobody lives there except holiday workers .... so no proper villages , no character to the place. Though on the plus side, the quality of the accom. was the best I ever had on this type of holiday.

What age are you? how many is going, you going for a relaxing holiday or for sex and to get locked?
if you're going for a relaxing holiday lanzarote might be your place, tehre is always a chillie wind there, going up to the volcanoes is intresting aswell, going to tenerife may be your type if you want to get a good bit drunk and sex, and a few places there you can pay for it too

    Hi!
    I live in Canary Islands,
It depends on you want to do.
If you want to relax and forget the world, go to El Hierro or La Gomera.
Do you want beaches?, go to Fuerteventura or Lanzarote
If you want more information, let me know.
Don´t worry about the weather, it´s always sunny!!

    :)

    Hi Cienfuegos,

I'm thinking of visitng La Gomera next month. In my late 20's just looking for a week to do very little, to enjoy the sun and perhaps a small bit of walking. Where would be the best place to base myself for a week? Any suggestions welcome!

Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria generally gets great weather.

Lanzarote is a lovely chilled place - there's different resorts so there's something for everyone - nightlife in Puerto del Carmen, quieter resorts in Costa Teguise, Matagorda and Playa Blanca but there's beautiful scenery to explore if you go off the beaten track.

    Hi Cienfuegos

I was reading your post and as you live on the Canary Island could you tell me exactly what temperature it will be in March 2016 as I am getting all different degrees from different people. I am hoping to rent out a villa and bring the family of 14 over for a week around the 8th or 9th March.

Is it hot enough in the day for the pool and beach?
What temperature is it in the evening?
What island is the best for all ages?

    Thank you so much.

I assume you mean March 2017, how do you expect someone to forecast the exact temperature for that week so far in advance? The weather in the Canaries is heavily dependent on the wind direction and whether there's rain in the area.

You won't get an accurate forecast for the weather in the week you will be there until roughly 10 days before you travel at which point you can check any number of weather websites. Until then, you might as well read the tea leaves.

You can check www.wunderground.com for the weather in march for the past few years. Seems to vary hugely.
