    Over my shoulder I see the road behind me,
    Nothing else matters except what I feel,
    Struck down by my own mental disease,
    Leaving me feeling like I'm incomplete,
    All that remains is the shell you see,
    All that's spoken left behind deceased,
    Guide me along this road I travel alone,
    Kicking up the dust from my own bones,
    Each step a prelude to the next one,
    A storied journey that's just begun,
    Settling on finding what the real me is,
    A life I threw away from forgiveness,
    Whispered memories from the soul of a girl,
    Connecting me to the soul of the world,
    Seeking a peace from a journey to let me be,
    Lost in a tale of a child seeking alchemy,
    The flock of the world abandoned for dreams,
    All that I can find to seek my own release,
    When the journey ends & I fall awake,
    Hoping that the dream wasn't a mistake,
    Dust myself off, put shoes on & begin again,
    Retrace my steps to take me to the end.
